About:
Set in the parkland at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire, the image portrays a Leopard Spotted Appaloosa Horse (Tornado af Knabstrup) at the centre of a group of twenty-three Dalmatians.
Planning and primary photography for this large-scale piece was completed throughout 2015/16, and the final picture composed between January and April 2017.
Over 500 hours of finely detailed work, the image contains many technical elements and is a composition of 60 individual ultra-high-resolution, medium-format images, 50-100mp at 16bit; 23 x Dalmatians, 1 x Leopard Spotted Horse, 36 x sky and landscape. Scale: 26,991 x 11,998 pixel.
"Excited by the originality of this artist's work. Such a feel of the equine master painters but without a shadow of pastiche. Using modern methods to create a wholly new art form. Deepest respect"
- Jessica Holm, Artist
